The cold front has really moved in on us. With minus forty temperatures forecast tonight, it looks like the Arctic front is affecting the whole learning community. I think it even froze up the school server for a while. I'm glad to see we can log in again.
Not warm enough, my car did a bit of grinding this morning as for some mysterious reason the cord was unplugged enough to not have the block heater on.
Some northern schools systematically close down during these cold spells. School buildings generally are warm, safe environments. I wonder what grandparents would say about this? Most of the northern communities have schools that are situated relatively close to the rest of the community.
It may be cold, but spring is just around the corner. If I was taking online classes I would surely like to be finished my class by May, so that I can enjoy being out in the nice weather. So the cold weather can be good as many of us choose to stay pretty close to the home fires and can spend that extra time indoors working on the assignments in our online course.

One of the really "cool" things about online learning is that when it is cold you can stay inside and concentrate on completing online activities. :)
